We need your help! NUBAO has worked for years with students, teachers, and families in Chicago Public Schools (CPS). Due to COVID-19, we are not able to run our regular outreach programs and activities, however, we want all of the students to know that we care and are here for them, their teachers, and their families. Help us to do this by making a gift to support CPS students most affected by the pandemic. This fund provides remote learning support, book and meal distribution, and direct emergency relief fund for students and families. Your generosity will make a BIG difference in the lives of students as they head back to school.

About us: The Northwestern University Brain Awareness Outreach (NUBAO) Organization is a public outreach initiative founded by NU graduate students dedicated to educating, exciting, and inspiring Chicago Public School (CPS) students and teachers about Neuroscience and STEM. Through collaborations with public schools and STEM education programs in the Chicago area, we conduct hands-on workshops, lectures, and host open house style events in an effort to introduce and share topics related to Neuroscience to students of all ages. Our outreach events include: giving Neuroscience seminars at Walter Payton High School, participating in STEM career fairs, hosting Neuroscience Teacher’s Workshops, summer research programs for high school students, and the annual Brain Fair!
